Society Registration
Society is managed by its Governing Body or Managing Committee. Society is formed and governed under Societies Registration Act, 1860 which is adaptive by multiple states for the charitable and social purpose. Generally society can be formed in levels either national or state, in case of national level society activities can be done across whole India, but in case of state level of society activities will be restricted up to that state for which it has been registered.
Society Registration Act 1860 is applicable across India for Non – Profitable Organizations. Society can be formed for different purposes or Aims and Objectives like – Religious, Educational, Housing, Resident Welfare, Institute / School registration, Public Charitable, Women Welfare, Child Welfare, Orphanage, Old Age Home, to save Nature, Environment and Art and Culture, Multipurpose society.
Trust Registration
The public charitable trust is a possible form of nonprofit entity in India. Typically, public charitable trusts can be established for a number of purposes, including the relief of poverty, education, medical relief, provision of facilities for recreation, and any other object of general public utility. Indian public trusts are generally irrevocable.
A trust can enjoy tax benefit exemptions on taking 12A registration. And it can be formed with just minimum two trustees unlike society which needs at least seven members. Generally it is registered in office of sub registrar in which jurisdiction trust registered office fall. Trust management is under control of management of trustees and managing trustee.

Rules and Regulations/Bye-laws, in duplicate.
An affidavit of the President/Secretary on a non-judicial stamp paper of prescribed value, stating the relationship between the subscribers/ promoters, duly attested by Notary Public.
Authority duty signed by all members of the managing committees.
Proof of registered office, rent receipt or no objection from the landlord.
Declaration by the members of the managing committee that the funds of the society shall be used only for the purpose of furthering the aims and objectives of the society.
NOC from employer in case of Government employee/ semi govt. employee or its undertaking
ID and Address proof of All Seven Members not related to each other by blood (8 from different states in case national level society)
2 Photo of all members
Covering letter signed by the authorized person.
Trust Deed, in duplicate.
Proof of registered office, rent receipt or no objection from the landlord.
Declaration by the members of the managing committee that the funds of the trust shall be used only for the purpose of furthering the aims and objectives of the trust.
